First of all hello everyone , some really useful info and comments on here,

I just got my first ecig 3 days ago, a black dse901 from TW and 24mg juice
as soon as itried it i thought i would never touch another analogue again.
but after a few uses i only get a decent hit on the first drag, (throat hit is mostly what i need to get off the analogues)
even with a new battery and a new strong cart after the first drag it needs a long rest before i can get any decent vapour,
is this just the 901 as i am now thinking of getting a titan
Any help/advice gratefully recieved

Have you tried dripping straight onto the atomizer?.....I find this much better than refilling the carts.....just 2 or 3 drops on the atomizer should do it.

How much are you putting into the carts when you refill?  I find I can get 5 drops in and get a decent length of full vapour as a result

ok just tried both these suggestions, still getting the same sorta results, poor vapour, am i expecting too much , should the amount of smoke be similar to an analogue, if so what would be a good alternative.

Thanks again

Hi, Pegasus,

Welcome to forum! You might want to check out igetcha69's video links. He (Scott) reviews a lot of e-cigs, and on his vids you can see the amount of vapour you can expect from a particular model. I reckon it's a good indicator. Still waiting for my kit to arrive, but have tried a disposable (i.e. non-rechargeable!) one, which was RUBBISH. Will be sticking with TW from now on, that's fo sho!

Yo, Prof,

C u in chat room praps?

Cheers,

Freak

hi pegasusuk, and welcome to the forum!

here is my review of a DSE901 so you can compare the vapour:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTu795RgB-Q&feature=channel_page

and here is a DSE901 user guide and maintenance video i made:-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kvvcano05x8&feature=channel_page

fully draining the atomiser and starting from fresh could help but im kinda getting the impression that your atomiser might be faulty.
take a look at the vids and let us know if things improve.

cheers,

scott

Nice review thanks

yes things improve slightly after a drain/clean but mine only gets about half that vapour , maybe i should order a new atomiser then
thanks evryone for your help.

Might need a bit more breaking in.
One of my new 901 atomisers took a full weeks vaping to be at full power.
Now 3 months old and after a pepsi bath still going like a train.

in that case mate, definitely send them a polite email to explain the problem. link them to this thread if you like so that way they can see that experienced guys have also confirmed there may be a fault.

its not totally uncommon to get the odd duff atomiser so im sure they will understand.

cheers,

scott

Just a note from a relative newbie: when starting out, it can be difficult to get a consistant draw on these things because of the way you take a drag.  I have found that less is more (ie steady, relatively light, and long draw, rather than a hard sharp short one like you would with an analogue)

Until to get used to the draw, it will be a bit inconsistant..... just keep practising your technique. LOL!

Thanks, Angela! That sounds like really good advice. I tend to draw the cr** out of my analogs, and would almost certainly have made that mistake with my e-cig, but now I can avoid it!

Thank you Wink Cheesy Grin Smiley

As you already have a 901 - I''d  urge you strongly to get a USB passthrough - no flat batteries and loads of vapour

I' been putting one drop of glycerin in my cart when refilling my titan and been getting that burnt atomiser taste after a while Undecided I wonder if the titan gets too hot for this?

I've tried it with no problems. Try pushing down the filling of the cart about 2 or 3 mm first. The atomiser coil seems to be very close to it.

Hi Pegasus  Smiley Smiley Smiley
Glad you are here. I was having the same problem, but I think Angela's answer helped me the most in this respect. I was getting very little actual smoke and I found that a long slow drag helped. It also helped to prevent me from eating the liquid because I was drawing so hard in an attempt to get more smoke that I was eating nicotine...  I also cut my liquid with glycerine (from the hobby shop) and that has increased the smoke production. The glycerine seems to make it taste more like sweet menthol also.
