Hey there,

My wife and I are from the US, and are totally new to vaping. So new, in fact, that our kits haven't even arrived yet. I actually stumbled onto e-cigarettes while I was buying some Deans style connectors from a China website (before I found TW). Which brings me to my first question, does anyone know the model/style number for this cigarette (its the one with the sky/clouds on the box).

I just want to be able to keep it running for as long as possible, in addition to the two platinum 901 kits that I bought from TW. Now, that brings me to my second question. Do I need to do anything pre-vape to the atomizers? I've read that there is a primer on them when new? Do I need to clean it off, or vape it off? Also, with the Pepsi Max/ denture cleaner soaking, how long do you allow it soak before rinsing? I've read around some of the threads, but can't really find a difinitive answer.

Besides those things, I think I'm ready to go. We ordered the two mystery e-cigs, the two 901 TW kits, a 901 passthru, extra atomizers, blank carts, 24mg Mbro juice, and some 18mg menthol juice (from a 100% eBay guy). I think its a pretty good starter kit, yeah? Gonna grab some glycerin when I get the chance as well.

We used to smoke Newport Light brand cigarettes, and then switched to RYO Midnight Special regular tobacco rolled in Premier menthol king tubes. I want to try to replicate that flavor, so would a few drops of the two flavors that I bought do the trick?

Any help is much appreciated.  Smiley

Thanks,

Shawn

Looks like it could be a M401 / 402 (although the atomizer looks a little odd to me).  I'm sure somebody will have the correct answer for you soon.

Dealxtreme do some good stuff, but from what i've read e-cigs aren't one of them  Wink Wouldn't worry too much about what model it is as it will probably die on its first day of usage anyway. (only what ive read on ecf forum) Youl be right with the 901 though, i would concentrate on that  Grin
As for menthol you could buy pure menthol crystals and mix with glycerin to add to your juice if more menthols needed. I just add a couple of drips of juice to the atomizer and vape off the primer it won't take long to get rid of the taste. I haven't used the coke/pepsi clean yet, havent needed to in over 3 weeks of vaping, if you watch igetchas video for 901 tips he will show you how best to drain the atomizer etc Oh and you can never have too many batteries for the 901 as youl be charging them alot as they dont run for long. Welcome to the forum  Grin and good luck with your new hobby.

Yeah, I figured that it wouldn't last long... I just wanted to see if its a common item, so that if I ever decided to, I can get whatever I need for it. It seems to be the same as the one that comes in the green/white cigarette style box.

What we wanted to do was to use it as an intro, but the wife (yeah, I'll blame the wife) couldn't hold her horses and I ended up ordering from TW anyway.  Grin

EDIT-

BTW, thanks for the info.  Smiley

Gah... lol... Well, that sucks. Live and learn, I guess. I'll just use them to death and then break out the 901's.

At least your prepared with a back up if the worst does happen. Once you use the 901's though i doubt you'l want to put them down again.  Wink

Hi, Shawn, and welcome aboard!

I couldn't agree more wth Fruits (hi, hon! Wink) about the 901: just got mine delivered today from China, and it is the dogs' b****cks! I too had a go with something else, but it wasn't even rechargeable and lasted all of about 3 hours. Wish I'd had your kind of sense and had backups ready much quicker, but sorted now with 901 and a Titan. Love them both, and think you'll find the 901 an easy bit of kit to bond with - my first batt's been going for 5+ hours now. I was a very heavy analogue smoker, but I'm finding vaping is a very different kettle of fish: I need to vape FAR less than I smoked.

Loving it generally! Happy vaping to you and your lady wife!

Lol,

Cheers,

Freak

Hey... Just checking in... Got the 901's today, and at first, I was really disappointed. The problem was getting all of the atomizers broken in. They weren't producing any vapor at first, but all is well now. I can't seem to put this thing down... lol... Kudos to TW.  Smiley

Only one problem with my order, and its not really huge problem. One out of four atomizers started to burn with a plastic odor/taste after minimal use. I started a Pepsi bath on it, but it still stinks... Badly... Hopefully, TW will take care of this, but its not a deal breaker for me if they don't. I am still enjoying my kit.

Oh, and just to let anyone know thats looking for one, I got a terrific platinum 901 passthru on eBay from: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/jdk636hc1 They have super fast shipping (in the US) and added free pack of super high apple carts.

I'm guessing that is just the factory primer on your atomiser, some seem to have more than others and it aint nice stuff. You did the right thing with a Pepsi bath, just make sure you prime it before you use it (put a drop or two of juice onto the atomiser coil).

Devilstar, I would agree with firewire here.... except, I recently bought a 901 kit from a seller on ebey. The atomiser that came with the kit produced some really terrible tasting vapour. It was far beyond bad primer fluid...it tasted toxic! The vapour burned and stung the airways. It was Unbeleivable.... and unuseable.

I tried draining it....no change.
I gave it the pepsi treatment... no change.

A quick chat with the seller showed that there was a possible problem with the batch of atomisers that they had.
They replaced it without any hastle and my new one is fine.

I'm not saying that the your TW atomiser has the same problem, I'm just saying that it might not just be bad tasting primer liquid.

If you havnt drained it yet... try that and if its still the same... it might be worth contacting TW to see what they say.

Good luck mate.

LOL I know... lesson learned hehe.
Although... I cant fault the sellers response to the problem.

Funny thing is... I would have bought a Titan instead if it was just a fiver cheaper!!! I havnt got a problem with TWs prices, not at all, but I was on a strict budget and was just a few quid short of a Titans pricetag  Sad
So I bought the next best thing (sort of)... A 901 with a passthrough.... it works a treat, but I still want need a Titan!!! lol

No, its definitely something burning... I tried the Pepsi bath, and dropping. On the very first drag after all of the maintenance it still tastes/smells like its on fire. I emailed TW and they are going to exchange it. Excellent customer service.  Smiley
