Tools of the trade for this review were the Titan with manual battery and a 901 with USB passthrough. Didn’t use brand new atomisers but both were drained and clean.

The liquid has a nice smell of mint to it, actually quite strong when I first opened the bottle. Colour wise it’s slightly darker than most of the other liquids I’ve tried, more of a bronze than a golden colour.

First off the 901, its got a very minty taste too it but only a slight taste of chocolate, basically like an after dinner mint but probably a none branded one as the chocolate doesn’t really seem to come through that much. It does give your mouth a very cool and fresh feeling.

It produces a half decent amount of vapour but to me it seems quite thin, but you do get that taste of mint on the exhale. Using the 901 I don’t seem to be getting very much of a throat hit, possibly due the mouth freeze you get from the flavour, but it’s a very smooth vape.

With Titan, I’m getting quite a bit more vapour and it’s slightly thicker but the down side of the titan is it doesn’t really do the flavours justice. You still get that cool minty taste but can’t really taste the chocolate at all. There’s a bit more of a throat hit but only a slight tickle on the back of the throat.

I was sort of expecting this to be similar to the Menthol, apart from the cooling sensation its quite different. To be honest I don’t really think mint is my choice of vape, but I guess you’ve got to try these things.

Would I continue to smoke it? I won’t be throwing it away, but it wouldn’t be my first choice to vape so I’ll probably come back to it at some stage.

Would I buy it? Probably not. If I was to buy this type of flavour I would probably opt for Menthol instead. But if you like the idea of a minty flavour then this is a very minty flavour, but don't expect too much chocolate.

Flavour: 3/10 (Can’t really taste the Choc & the Mint is over powering)
Flavour Strength: 8.5/10 (Mint) 0.5/10 (Choc)
Vapor: 7/10
Throat Hit: 3/10 (Not getting much of a hit with 18mg)

Ok, didn’t give up on it straight away, I decided to try and improve on it. I added a little 36ml un flavoured to try and get a bit more of a kick, a little glycerin to thicken the vapour up and a few drops of LorAnn Chocolate. It’s now producing much more ticker vapour and I’m getting a slightly more chocolate taste to it but the mint is still over powering. I guess I could add a little more LorAnn but from past experiences I’ve found the chocolate really klings to the atomiser so I don’t think I’ll bother.

I vaped this in the Titan with carts and by dripping the Evo

My initial try of this in the titan pretty much matches Goffski's, huge mint hit and minty coolness, but no sign of the chocolate. Despite this its more fully flavoured than menthol, (although its more comparable to a mint flavour) with a more rounded taste to it, making it a bit more interesting than plain menthol. I seem to be in a bit of a mint phase at the moment, so I really enjoyed it.
Dripping it in the Evo was much more interesting. The chocolate did become much more noticeable, for a more balanced flavour, but the mint hit became more apparent too, without more mint flavour.

I vaped this all day, and as I did, something a bit odd happened..... the minty hit from the titan dropped right off, even after changing atomizer, so I thought I'd anaesthetised my taste buds, until i went back on the evo, which still gave the same hit. Huh

Titan
Flavour 4/10  - its wasted in the titan, really
Flavour strength 8/10 Mints not bad, choc is kinda absent
Vapour 6/10 Pretty average, nothing to complain about, nothing to compliment
Throat hit 4/10 At 18mg it was a bit light for me, but even at higher strength its all going to be about the mint, I think
Overall 5.5/10 - Nice, but nothing to write home about

Evo
Flavour 9/10  - Lovely mint hit, nice mint choc taste.
Flavour strength 9/10 more mint hit than the titan when dripped, and some chocolate flavour too
Vapour 6/10 Pretty average, nothing to complain about, nothing to compliment
Throat hit 6/10 Again, 18mg is a little on the light side for me, but nothing could possibly compete with the mint hit from this.
Overall 7.5/10 - full of minty goodness Smiley

All in all, I really liked it, but its wasted as an all day vape, better as something to have for variety.

I've mainly been using this on a Titan. (New blank cartridge, drained/clean atomiser and fully charged auto battery).
I've also vaped it for a while on an Evo (Dripped, with empty mouthpiece and freshly charged batt.)

First I tried it on the Titan.
My first pull was eye-opening, and almost eye-watering. The 'cool' minty sensation was immediately apparent and very strong.
I could liken it to (Trebor) Extra Strong Mint. There was a VERY strong minty flavour which was slightly like menthol.
It wasn't a sweet mint flavour... almost peppery/savoury.
After vaping for half an hour straight... there wasn't even a hint of chocolate for me. I did taste something that may or may not be chocolate on just a couple of exhales, but again it wasn't a sweet flavour so it was hard to tell if it tasted like chocolate or not.
Overall I'm just getting mint...STRONG, COOL, FRESH MINT
If there wasn't a mention of 'choc' on the label then I would never have guessed that the secondary flavour was chocolate.

On the Titan, the vapour production was good but nothing special and possibly on the thin side. It also seemed to dissipate in the air very quickly.
Throat hit was probably slightly above average... but for me this was almost masked or overpowered by the cool/fresh feeling at the back of the throat. I'd say the mint-hit is stronger than the throat-hit provided by the nicotine on the 18mg e-liquid.
Also I didn't notice that fresh-hit in the lungs that you might get with a good menthol. Plenty of it in the mouth and throat though.

I've been vaping this almost exclusively for 24hrs now and overall I like it. I could have this as an all day vape without too much problem... but as it basically is just mint flavour to me, It would probably get a little boring after a few days.

I vaped this e-liquid on the Evo for a while and it was a different experience altogether for me.
I didn't get as much vapour or throat hit. The Minty 'cool' and fresh feeling was much more subtle than on the Titan and the overall taste was much sweeter I thought. And would you believe it... I think I could taste the chocolate. I say think because it certainly wasn't a strong chocolate taste. It was like getting 1 chocolate chip in a half litre of mint Ice cream. Basically it just tasted like a sweeter type of mint than on the Titan, but there was a hint of chocolate there...somewhere.

Although this "Minty Choc Chip" tasted better on the Evo, I'd personally vape it on the Titan just for that strong minty fresh hit... I wouldn't miss the taste of chocolate at all.

Overall I'm pleasantly surprised by this liquid. Its not what I was expecting, due to the lack of chocolate flavour.... BUT as an alternative to some menthol liquids, I prefer this stuff hands down. If your looking for a true chocolate/mint flavour then this may not be for you (unless you want to add chocolate flavouring)... but If you like menthol and mint flavours then this could well be worth trying.

TITAN
Flavour: 5/10 (mint tasted almost perfect to me but the chocolate gets a zero)
Flavour Strength: 8/10 (the STRONG mint almost makes up for the lack of chocolate)
Vapour: 7/10 (above average but also slightly thin)
Throat hit: 5/10 (not bad but disguised by the 'cool' feeling of the mint)
Overall: 6/10 (I like it but only as a menthol substitute)

EVO
Flavour: 6/10 (Slightly more chocolate and less mint than the titan)
Flavour Strength: 7/10 (The mint flavour was much less than the titan but now there was a HINT of chocolate)
Vapour: 5/10 (distinctly average vapour on the Evo for me)
Throat hit: 4/10 (didn't notice much of a hit)
Overall: 5/10 (SLIGHTLY better chocolate taste but the minty taste and hit were both lacking)

I quite like this on the Titan and it was OK on the Evo. I would buy it but only as a MINT flavour... for me the sweet chocolate taste doesn't even enter into it; literally.
If it was just called STRONG MINT flavour I'd probably give it 8 or 9 out of 10.

EDIT:
Overall score on the evo should have been 5 from me (not 6). I should also point out my overall scores are not averages.
Also, Ive since added some DIY Chocolate 18mg to the mint choc chip, and it now tastes a little more like it should....quite nice indeed.

No cigs, no e-cigs, no nicotine.

Ok I first tried this last night and enjoyed it but today was the real test! Left all my other flavours at home so I wouldn't be tempted and was very glad I did. The e-cig I used was my auto Titan, fresh charged battery, drained atomiser and even used a brand new cart. When you first open the bottle you get a nice smell of mint, not too strong. The liquid colour is quite similar to strawberry, maybe a little lighter. On the first pull I almost coughed because the mint is really quite strong but I quickly got used to it though, its a very refreshing flavour indeed with just a hint of chocolate. I would of liked the choc part to be a little stronger but when you're eating mint choc chip ice-cream the main flavour is mint with a little choc, this is really quite similar. On the vapor production its reasonable, nothing special really but still quite a good throat hit.

I've been home now for about an hour and still using it even though I've got a few other flavours here.

If I was to buy this I'd be tempted by a higher nictoine rating but the flavour really is nice, not tried the menthol juice but I (just about) remember mentol analogues and this gave me a "clear lungs" feeling if you know what I mean. I would recommend it to menthol vapers if they fancy something a little different.

Flavour 7/10 (I would rate it higher if it was just mint).
Flavour strength 9/10 (It not "blow your head off, just nice)
Vapor Production 7/10 (I've seen better but really nothing to complain about)
Throat 7/10 (Way better than the fruit flavours I usually go for)
Overall rating 8/10 (OK, I like it just needs to have more of the chocolate flavour)

Would I buy it? Yes! Its something different to what I've got and I really Enjoyed it.

First of all I’m not fond of chocolate or mint…..so that’s a good start.

When I first opened the bottle of liquid I smelled Walls Viennetta ice cream, the green mint flavour, a blast from the past for me, so that was a little more promising.

I dripped a few drops on to the Evo and took a draw, well…..it took my breath away, slammed me upright in the back of my chair and made me cough. Shocked This is the first time a liquid has done this to me, and although I generally vape around 11mg – 14mg I have vaped much higher and nothing has kicked me like this did.
It has a huge mint taste like trebor mints X 10, on the inhale a slight bitter chocolate taste but you have to look very hard for it and it spoils the mint sensation. There is also a long mint after taste and when you breathe in, it has that weird coldness only mints produce. I found it to be quite invigorating and it would certainly wake you up on a morning especially using the 36mg.The vapour production was average in keeping with an analogue.

I vaped it for a few days and found it wasn’t something I would want to use constantly as it is too strong in taste and intensity. I also found that the mint aftertaste becomes quite chemical the more you get used to it. I think this could be the attempt at chocolate, if this could be removed it would be a fantastic mint sensation.

I really thought I would hate this, to say it hadn’t a good starting point I quite enjoyed it, albeit in small doses or drips as we like to say in the business.

I never found the potato…

for my review on the minty choc chip i used a Titan and a DSE901:-

the colour of the juice is a light yellow and its nice and clear with no debris floating about. when taking of the lid, you get a fairly strong smell of mint that kinds smells like a Polo.

vapour

vapour production in both e-cigs was pretty good and well above average. it produced a vapour that i would describe as a light fog.

taste

wowser! this juice has one hell of a strong mint taste!! it really does take your breath away and leaves your mouth and throat feeling very fresh indeed. i would even go as far as saying that it is stronger than the TW menthol! however, it does not clear the sinuses in the same way as the menthol!

as for the choc chip.........what choc chip? lol

when switching to the 901 which tends to be better at bringing out the flavours, i could get a very faint aftertaste of chocolate. but to be honest, if i didnt know it was meant to have chocolate in it then i would never have noticed it.

but i am really enjoying vaping this e-liquid!

throat hit

throat hit in both devices is very good and provides a nice strong kick when doing a mouth inhale, and the raspiness when doing a lung inhale.

overall summary..........i like it!    but it definitely needs a bit more choc added!

vapour 8
taste 8
throat hit 8

total score:-

8 out of 10

Well, I had no idea what to expect from this flavour; in my mind I was expecting after eight mints meets chocolate chip mint icecream. I never expected the menthol hit!

I vaped this sample in a 901 an 801, a Titan (Joye510) and an SD (901 at).

The first hit is in your face full-on menthol, it screams at you, and it comes as a shock if you’re not expecting it! This is the same on each of the e-cigs I used, but definately came through best with a 901 and an 801 atomiser (no surprise there).  It has the menthol cool feel in the mouth and throat as expected from a menthol cigarette, so that gets the thumbs up. I was however, really disappointed by how weak the chocolate taste was... at first! This is where the unexpected comes into play – the more I’ve vaped it, the more often I’ve enjoyed just grabbing the chocolate overtones. They are really badly lacking on the Titan (again, no surprises), and they are subtle, but they are there on the exhale. It is the slight flavour of dark chocolate, a real cocoa note, which just lingers in your mouth above the cool menthol.

I can’t say I was too enthralled with this flavour at first, mainly because the expectations did not match with the experience. But I’ve vaped this now for some days, and it’s grown on me a great deal.  The kick from the menthol is truly superb, and the dark chocolate just adds that twist that a straight menthol flavour doesn’t get.

For me, this isn’t going to be an all day vape for one very simple reason; I quickly get used to the dark chocolate aftertone again, and it becomes ‘lost’ after maybe 15 minutes of vaping. However, swapped round with other flavours so it isn’t vaped constantly and the chocolate comes straight back into play again.  Truly superb from that point of view! Also, rotated with a straight menthol liquid, and I’m not losing the chocolate aftertaste, nor am I needing to swap the atomisers and carts around.

I  like the amount of vapour produced; sure, its not the biggest producer by any standard but its good enough for me, I’m happy with it but I would agree with the marks that others have given it there.  Great throat hit too, some of which I am sure is down to the menthol element; being a 36mg vaper getting this sort of throat hit from an 18mg e-liquid is really very impressive though.

The one –and only- improvement I would like to see is just a little more chocolate.

So, I’m guessing any menthol enthusiast is going to be taken with this one, it’s a winner and it is definately something I think I’m going to have on my list of ‘must haves’.  I would say though, use it in a 901 but not in a Titan, or you may as well be vaping straight menthol really. The Titan just cannot cope with the subtleties of this flavour.

APRIL 2009 - TOTALLY WICKED MINT CHOC CHIP 18mg LIQUID

EQUIPMENT
510Titan - Although this model is a "flavor killer" by nature it made for the most pleasant vaping experience.

DSE901 - A cooler running model of e-cig  likely to give more of a flavor experience. Interestingly, it seemed to produce the same flavor results of the Titan with a lower temperature performance(i.e. less vapor and throat hit).

LIQUID
Color/Clarity
The color is a translucent amber and clean of any impurities.

Nose/Smell/Odour
Mint, Mint, and more  Mint!  The chocolate is not noticable by the nose.

VAPOR
In: On the draw it's all mint, especially on the tip of the tongue. Eventually the mint does take over...

On Pause: During the pause on a 2nd draw I get a slight hint of the chocolate flavor. Very surprising and nice!

Out: Again mostly mint but if the vapor cools enough and passes through the nose you can taste a hint of the chocolate.

HIT/FEEL
Throat Draw (Drawing vapor directly down your throat into your lungs) :
Wow! Throat draws are dangerous when vaping anyway but with mint or menthol flavors they can be a killer. This one is no different... Very powerfull stuff for a throat draw vape!!! Using this technique with this liquid is like putting a handfull of Altoids or mint crystals in your mouth ...  and there is no chocolate to be found!

Mouth Draw (Drawing vapor into your mouth, then rest, and inhale to your lungs)
Very nice and smooth mint, definitely not just menthol, but pleasant and fresh. Doesn't have that "eye opening" menthol effect I get when vaping straight menthol.

FLAVOR/TASTE
The mint is overpowering the sweetness although I can consistantly taste the chocolate if I use a mouth draw technique.
The sweet flavor is inconsitant but when I do taste it, it is usually in the back of the roof of my mouth and sinus area ... it is very subtle.

SUMMARY
Not the most exciting flavor to me keeping in mind I usually don't buy a lot of  non-tobacco flavor vaper. BUT, I do have a stash of menthol, red bull and chocolate on hand for those "something different" days so this flavor was a nice starter for my reviewing skills!  Wink
By the label I was assuming a sweeter flavor with very minty overtones. I was very surprised it was the other way around. Very heavy mint with a very subtle overtone of chocolate when vaped.

FINISH SAMPLE?
Yes. I will finish this sample and probably vape it as a menthol flavor. I was also going to take Goffski's lead and will probably come up with a recipe for this one to attempt a sweeter flavor. Since the mint is more subtle than my TW menthol I was hoping to add this to some TW chocolate and get a sweeter result. Maybe even a drop or 2 of vanilla for a hint of "baked goods" flavor!!   Roll Eyes

SALE or NO SALE
As it is... No I would not buy it. However, I would buy it if it were a "heavier sweet" flavor with a hint of mint, rather than the otherway around.

Overall Flavour: 3 / 10
Flavour Strengths:
Mint - 8 / 10
Chocolate: 2/10
Vapor: 7/10 (average)
Throat Hit: 6/10 (a little less than average)

E-cig used for this review was the Screwdriver

I was really looking foreward to testing this liquid as its a total change in direction to what i usually vape

First impressions upon opening the bottle were very pleasing, a very fresh smelling mint, quite powerfull on the nose
I loaded up my 901 cart and took a good draw, now please bear in mind i usually exclusively vape 36mg so this was half my usual strength, hence the extra long draw, well it spun my eyes round my head! the mint is so powerful and really really nice, the chocolate isnt really noticable as my fellow reviewers have pointed out, but wait! after a few vapes it's definitaly there on the exhale! a rather dark chocolate taste like an after eight mint, very subtle but very pleasing at the same time.

The vapour production is good but not outstanding, but lets be honest its the taste were after mainly and the more i vape this the more i like it, it leaves your mouth feeling so fresh and cool, this one has really taken me by surprise, love the stuff!!

Throat hit is also present, more than i expected as this is 18mg, maybe the mint adds to the throat hit?
Normally when i finish or don't finish (see ginseng) a sample bottle i think, ok that was nice or that was below par but i actually missed this one when i emptied the sample bottle, so much so i ordered a 30ml bottle of 36mg the next day

Taste   8/10

Vapour 7/10

Throat Hit 7/10

Well, i guess its my turn to review the Totally Wicked Minty Chocolate Chip!
Its my first review, so please bear with me :-)

I suppose a little background info is in order: I have been vaping for close to a year now.
The DSE901 was my first e-cig, and has been my main E-cig until the TECC Titan arrived. I now use the Titan 99% of the time. I have also tried a generic e-cigar, Ruyan Vegas, TECC disposable cigars and the Intellicig EVO.
I mainly use Wicked Camel 18mg or 24mg, cut with about 20% VG.

Reviewing the Minty choc chip, i have used the Titan, 901 and briefly, the EVO.
I don't usually use the minty/menthol flavours, but i'll try anything once :-)
The first thing that hit me with this flavor was "Wow, minty!" It may be "minty chocolate chip", but the minty taste is overpowering.
I "think" i detect a very faint hint of chocolate, but the mint drowns it out.
At best, the "minty choc chip" is "menthol with a twist", and can be used as an alternative to Wicked menthol.

My wife smoked menthol cigarettes before e-cigs, and has been vaping Wicked menthol ever since it came out. She tried the minty choc chip as well,
but didn't get any taste of chocolate either. She did, however, get a slight taste of hazelnuts!

The final verdict: If your preferred liquid  is Wicked menthol, the mint choc chip can be used in a pinch. Don't buy it if you expect chocolate flavor though.
Mine will be stored alongside Wicked menthol and Wicked spearmint. For me, they can all be used when i need the minty flavours. My wife will propably use it as a backup
if she runs out of menthol.

Oh yeah, P.S.: DO NOT use this if you're prone to getting liquid in your mouth when vaping. I tried this liquid with my EVO,
and it decided to give me a shot of liquid instead of vapour. Now thats minty fresh, but not in a good way. The minty taste will
linger for a long time if you get liquid in your mouth.
