Looking at the messageboard ... I have no idea where to put this so... Here is as good of a place as any I reckon.  Mods can move it wherever they need.

As if the Internet didn't have enough banners out there.... I created another one if people wanted to use it.  As you can see in my sig..... that is what it looks like.

The banner is a perpetual banner as it creates the graphic banner information on the fly so each day it will update with new information.

I created this one, after seeing multiple different smoke-free or vaping banners here on the forum.  I figured it would be "nice" to give kudos to the company we are all a part of.

So .... if you want to use the banner ... You can feel free.  Right Now it is hosted on one of the websites in the states that I'm the web-admin for.  If TW wants the code and simple graphic to host on their site... I'll give it up to them (Might need to clean up my code a smidgeon for them).

Anyway... The Banner Takes up to 4 differnt parms.  Below is a table of the parms and expected values and default values:

Parm NameFormat:Default ValueExampleAdditional Info:
SFDYYYYMMDDTodays Date20090101SFD stands for Smoke Free Date.  This is the date you stopped smoking tobacco cigs.
For Months and Days you must use leading 0s.  May would be 05 etc.
If an Improperly formatted date is sent it will use the default date of today
PPDNumeric.251 or 1.5 or 1.55...etcPPD Stands for Packs Per Day.  This is to show how much was smoked PER
day (relative to a pack of smokes).  If you smoked only 10 cigs a day then use .5
If you smoked 13cigs a day then it would be .65. You can use Whole numbers or
include decimals in it.
CPDNumeric12.50, 3.75, 4.80 ...etcCPD Stands for Cost Per Pack.  Cost Per Pack is what is needed to effectively
calculate the amount of savings.  Even if you only smoked part you need to supply
how much a pack of cigs are.  It will pro-rate the savings based on number of
cigarettes smoked.
CTUD, P or EDD, P, ECTU stands for Currency To Use.  Currently the money symbols allowed are
Dollars (D), Pounds (P) and Euros (E).  Any other value will default to Dollars (US)
This is not used in calculations.  Only used to show which money symbol to place
next to the financial savings number

Here is an Example of the actual code to use in your signature block:

Code:
[img]http://mtrainierhog.com/TotallyWicked/TotallyWickedBanner.php?SFD=20090511&PPD=1.25&CPP=7&CTU=D[/img]

In code example above it would display the following banner:

The information displayed in the banner shows a person stopped smoking tobacco on 20090511, smoked 1.25packs per day and it cost $7.00 a pack for that brand of smokes.  And Savings to be shown in dollars.

Pretty simple eh?

Give it a whirl... if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to kick me a message or post a reply here in this thread and will help out as best as I can.

Was thinking that myself - the savings calculation should be cash not spent on tobacco minus what we've spent on e-cig paraphernalia and liquid etc.  Wink

It will be a while before I break even, but no grumbles as stopping smoking was the primary aim.

Heheh...knew there was something Smiley Actually, we just figured we've (Di and me) spent maybe £600 on e-cigs since we started just before xmas but as we were spending £260/month on cigs we're already better off. Just gotta get off the e-cigs now, lol. Can't tell you how much better we feel now though. Occasionally...just occasionally, mind...we actually walk in stead of driving now O:

I use the same banner that Angela uses on this site on my myspace page.  I just pasted the coding into the relevant part of my profile. http://www.myspace.com/sludgevandiesel  Don't know if it will work with iceman's banner, but it's worth a shot.

Aha... Superb... But....
I smoke rolling tobacco.

Could someone hack a version for those of us who (used to) roll our own, please?

I'll add an appropriate banner to my sig...

Hi road runner

If you work out how many rollies you get from a pouch and divide that by 20 then divide the cost of that pouch by the answer, you'll get the figure you need for cost per pack.... I think that's how i did it anyway. Remember the banner thinks in packs of twenty so you just have to work out what twenty roll ups cost you. Dont forget papers... and filters if you used them.  Smiley

Thanks Obie...
Have you really been a non-smoker for a year now??? Wow... you're an old-timer, eh??

Love the tesseract anim by the way (aka Hypercube). That's one of the better representations I've seen yet.

Ever read "And he built a crooked house?"... I read that as a kid and loved the story.

The "saving" is a little misleading, isn't it? After all, we don't get our sticks and juice free, do we?

But... TW have emailed me to say that my order has been shipped and I'm really hoping that it arrives tomorrow before I run out of baccy.

Which flavour did you start off with and what is your current favourite ?

No prob Roadrunner

Yeah it's costing me a small fortune this all vaping compared to the bacca.

I started of on the generic carts back then but it's so much better to use liquid now it's easier to get hold of and much nicer now as well.

I've got a sweet tooth and prefer British bulldog or the TW virginia and have been trying some janty virginia and their RY4. But taste is subjective and it's down to trying a few out. I prefered the tobacco for a long while but have just ordered some fruity loranne flavours and some unflavored 36 mg to mix up a few trial liquids.

Hope that helps  Smiley

British Bulldog?

Is that a "Red Bull" type of flavour?

I just grabbed some grape from another site after watching Igetcha's review... I love the "grape" flavoured sweets and drinks, so I guess I'm going to enjoy the taste of that one.
