Ok, i know this is a flavour review but first off i'll let you know what i'm testing with. I'm currently using an EVO and a SuperMini and if you've read some of my other posts you'll know i'm not too happy with the SuperMini.  Well things have changed slightly even tho the battery life it pretty poor i must have one hell of an atomiser as currently its kicking the ass out of the EVO, throat hit, vapor and flavour wise even if it does only last 10 mins!

Anyway on to the Ginseng, first off from opening the bottle its got a very strong sent to it, more so than other flavours i've sampled so far, not unpleasant just strong. Now this is a 36mg bottle which i'm not really use too as it's a little on the strong side for me but i am slowly getting use to it. Flavour wise i'm not actually too sure what Ginseng tastes like or should taste like but for me its got a very gingery taste to it. The juice gives a great throat hit and does produce a large amount of vapor (great vape rings).

Personally i'm not a huge fan of ginger but this is actually not too bad after a few vapes, but it wouldn't be my choice for an all day vape. One thing i have noticed about it is it does leave an after taste for a while which i've never really noticed with any of the other flavours, i guess this isn't a bad thing if your enjoying the flavour.

After a few days on the Ginseng i'll be honest, i'm not too keen, and whats probably made it worse i can't get rid of the flavour from the atmoiser, everytime i vape i can still taste the ginseng but it its slowly fading away. Possibly my own fault as i do prefer to drip rather then use carts. I did think i would start to like this the more i vaped it as i quite like odd and unusual flavoured things but i'm affaird it's not doing it for me. I have tried cutting it 50/50 with some Glycerin and it still gives a serious throat hit and produces plenty of vapor but its not really toned down the flavour.

If you like ginger and that strong throat hit then this is the flavour for you, but unfortunately this is not for me. Maybe i'll give it the odd blast every now and again for a bit of a change.

Flavour: 2/10 (I really don't like this one)
Flavour Strength: 10/10 (Its got a very strong flavour, the strongest i've had so far)
Vapor: 10/10
Throat Hit: 10/10

I resisted writing this until I had given this flavour a chance and some thought.

This is the strongest flavour I have come across. I did a little research and found out that Chinese manufacturers make Ginseng and several Vitamin flavours, and write about them as if they are extract. I would query the health benefits of absorbing vitamins and ginseng through the capillaries in the lungs! But it is a nice thought, to be 'vaping' something healthy.

The flavour is the strongest and most 'cloying' I have come across. If I had to compare it to anything, I would have to say a very strong herbal peppery flavour, countryside and strong smelling plants, very green and earthy, very obvious. It does have the taste of real Ginseng. As Ginseng is prominent in Chinese herbal medicine I can understand why this is produced, with the optimism that Westerners might enjoy the taste and benefits.  However, I would not think this is for most Vapers, being a very acquired taste!

If you like to mix your own tastes and flavours, Ginseng may be just what you are looking for. It would add well to make a herbal mix, something to make you feel better with a cold; try adding to spice elements like clove and cinnamon. If you cannot taste, Ginseng WILL change all that!

One big warning: Ginseng will dominate the flavour from your atomiser for several days unless you clean it thoroughly!

Do I like it, personally... sorry but no.

When I heard that this was the liquid we were getting this time I will admit I was very curious. I purposely did not read any of my fellow vapers reviews on this liquid until after I had tried it myself and written my thoughts down, but I could have almost predicted that most people would hate this.

One sniff of the bottle told me that this would be a stronger liquid than most and might affect an atomiser for some time, so I chose my tools with care, and made sure I was able to drain and clean them afterwards. (I use rolled up strips of kitchen towel for draining and a mix of gin and glycerine for re-priming)

Tools of the trade.
I chose one of my TW Black Minis & fresh battery to start, once I had tried it, I then also tried it in my black 4 hole pen/USB and finally one of my Evo’s (you can already guess from this I didn’t hate it quite as much as some of the others). My reasoning for this was I have found different liquids can be quite different in different devices. I believe the Evo has the coolest running atomiser, followed by the Mini, with the Pen on USB being a small minor furnace. Grin

Liquid Taste & Smell
Unlike a lot of liquids I found this one does have a distinct odour, and it certainly is not a liquid you would not want to get in your mouth (So I would use this with great care in an Evo).

Odour
This is one liquid that has quite a distinct odour, (compared to others), and is not unlike its taste. So it is one that might get comment from people who get a whiff of it. (edit - and going by most peoples reaction here, possibly not favourable).

Vapour 10/10
Plenty of it for a PG based liquid, probably the highest I’ve come across.

Performance 10/10
The taste is so consistant in this I found it worked well in all three devices. But if you want it to blow your socks off - drip it on a pen with a usb passthrough Shocked

Throat Hit 12/10
I must admit this is my first 36mg liquid, so I might not be comparing apples with apples, (more is that apples with lemons Shocked) but compared to my 18mg cigar – which kicks like a Pictsy in running spikes, Wink although the hit is heavy, it is surprisingly smooth.

Taste- 10/10
This is going to surprise most of the other reviewers, but I like it! I don’t ‘love it’ but I do like it. This is probably the closest flavour to actually be like it says on the tin I’ve come across.

Most of the others I find just taste like sweet companies, or flavourists think things should taste like. (Coffee tastes like the one in chocolates, strawberry and cherry tastes like boiled sweets or Nesquick rather than real cherries or strawberries). Yes its very strong, slightly bitter and has reminisces of ginger on the palette, but that is what real ginseng tastes like, it is not a food, it’s more of a spice and even then, it isn’t one you would add to food.

Satisfaction Rating – 9/10
Maybe due to the 36mg rating, but this is one of the first liquids I have tried that I have vaped and put down when I have finished. Rather than being so moorish I could vape all day, or so harsh I have to put it down while I have some throat lining left.

One thing I will say for this liquid, that I think stands out aver the others, is that I found it a very clean vape – it wasn’t cloying and it didn’t seem to hang around in my lungs. Yes the taste hung around (for quite some time Undecided) but it is one of the cleanest vapes I’ve come across.

This does make me believe that it may possibly contain real ginseng – as that is one herb/spice that is/has been smoked/inhaled – rather than a concoction of flavourings and chemicals that possibly aren’t.
With TW’s neutral on its way – this might inspire me to try distilling small mixes of willow, yerba santa and others as more herbal vapes (i.e. stuff that has been smoked and inhaled)

Will I use it day to day? Quite possibly
Would I use it as an all day vape? No!

This is not an all day vape, as I’m not sure ‘even I’ could take a pen cartridge full, and even if it does contain real ginseng – I am also not sure you should intake that much a day. So it might be one more versed for dripping once or twice a day.

Verdict – 9/10
I see this as the type of liquid I would keep for a certain time of day along with an atomiser set aside for this style of liquid. I’m even considering it as an early morning vape.

Problem is, I’m not sure I would want to buy 30ml of it. 10ml would be best, I might be pushed to 20ml now I’ve tasted it (so thanks for that), but on the whole you buy stuff your likely to vape all day and I see this is more of a special liquid.

I would imagine, that coming from the Chinese Market that this was largely done to cater for Asian tastes, rather than European, and might even be a hope to capture that side of the market in the west, to which I can see a case for liquids like ginseng, ginger, green tea and jasmine, or maybe its just a misunderstanding of the western palette.  Undecided

                                                               TW Ginseng Review 36mg

E-cig i used for this review was the DSE 901 with USB Passthrough, brand new atomizer vaped until the primer was burnt off.

My aplologies as this is going to be a short review that will become self explanatory.

The smell upon opening this e-liquid is rather unpleasant, you can detect a herbal odour though, it is very strong, i dripped this into a 901 and the consistancy is very good, from here on in it all goes a bit pear shaped for me, the taste is absolutely vile, it actually made me nauseos, it is like vaping antiseptic, the throat hit is tremendous as is the vapour, but that taste it's just cloying, i would class this one as a seriously desired taste.

As mentioned the throat hit is extreme, i know this is 36mg but i am used to that strenght as i own a few, it has a real bite to it, really harsh to be honest, the vapour likewise was outstanding and if the ingredients to get this throat hit and vapour were added to a really nice tobacco flavour this thing would be a gold mine! hey what do you know i did have something nice to say about it, sort of.

In Conclusion this is the vilest e-liquid i have ever tried, and be warned your atomizer will need nothing short of an exorcism to rid it of the taste.
I'm sorry but i can't wax lyrical about this one it's bloody awful.

Throat Hit   11/10

Vapour       10/10

Taste         0/10

Thanks for reading.
