Ok everyone what e-cig are you using the most? everyone has a workhorse or a favourite, be it a pen style, mini, supermini, trogs screwdriver, so share your opinions and maybe it may help a noob (hate that expression by the way) from making a costly mistake, weve all been there Smiley

I've only got a 901b but thinking about getting the new platinum one, looks well nice! I know its also a 901 but I'm still using the original batts and atomizer after 4 1/2 months!! Can I have a prize?

I have the EVO great battery, great atomizer, hell of a throat hit, can't fault it really especially with the new 4 hole atomizer, still have one eye on the wicked platinum though, just waiting for decent battery life on the 901

Hi firewire

Its the best e-cig i have used, and ive spent a lot and used a few, i was skeptical before i ordered because the claims they made seemed ridiculous, 8-12 hrs for a battery run time? i mean cmonn hehe, so i went and ordered the usb pack, the price is really great as well, tried it and was amazed, build quality is great 30mins full charge time, the only gripe i had was the draw seemed a bit heavy, more like a real cig to be honest, but with the new four hole atomizer its a real joy, another thing is that the battery doesnt drop out, same vaping power right until it just dies, i seem to be raving about this thing but i'm that impressed with it, it retired my 901

Hmm, your story sounds familiar Womblebat!
I've been using 901's since i started on the e-cigs. Apart from a generic cigar and a single Ruyan Vegas, i've been using 901s exclusively.
However, last night i broke down and ordered an EVO. There are too many positive stories about this thing, so i have to see for myself.
Only reservation i have is about refilling/dripping. I'm used to carrying a 5ml dropper bottle with me, and i use that to drip into the cartridge in order to keep the cig topped up. Is that possible with the EVO, or do i have to fill cartridges from home, and then vape them dry?

Hi clavit

Yes you can refill your carts no problem, all you need is a paperclip, just push up from the draw hole with the clip, top up, push it back down again, no probs, you can also drip with the EVO, it's a little trickier than with the 901 because the EVO has the atomizer bridge that sticks out, so instead of actually "dripping" you rest the nozzle of your liquid bottle against the bridge so it soaks in, you can get about 2 drops on it because it's so wide, you will soon get the hang of it

Let us know your opinion and how you get on with it  Grin

i bought an EVOlution and been using it for 2 days the battery life is excellent, started using it at 10.00am and it needed recharging about 9-10pm even then i was still getting vapour but it was only letting me take a drag for about 2 secs before it cut out, only time will tell how good the atomizer is

Hi fluffy

It's got a five second cut off, if it's cutting out after 2 seconds it sounds like a faulty battery, i would contact john at intellicig

Hi womble
it would do a 2 sec cut off after hours of use maybe it was doing that when it was getting low on power?

Hmm mine never do that and one of its claims is not to lose power until it just goes flat, i think you should get the product you paid for, i would mention this to john and he will sort you out, he's a really nice fella

Another fan of the Evo here. Its getting the most use of all of them so I guess I must like it best! I've had the shorter cut off thing. I normally find it happens when the cartridge is quite dry. Its not as convenient for topping up as the 901, having one of those annoying supermini type inner cartridges, but the battery life and atomiser performance are great. The fact the batteries charge properly in half an hour (with USB) is awesome.

I had a DSE901 and a DSE103. Over Christmas i bought 2 extra batteries for the DSE901 and 50 carts for each. Then i bought and EVO out of curiosity (incidently are you sure about 4 holes mine has 2).

DSE103 is in permanent storage, DSE901 is heading to retirement. The EVO has no competition in price or battery and the hit is a good , if not better, than the DSE901.

The EVO is definitely the future for me.

Hi paul

You have to ask specifically for a four hole atomizer from john when you order, they seem to be having major stock shortages at the moment (i wonder why lol) but you might hit lucky, had my original atomizer for 4 weeks now and its still going strong

Hmmm, so i've been reading about the EVO while waiting for it to show up.
I hope i will get the 4-hole atomizer, as it's apparently the best one (i didn't know i had to ask for it when ordering!)
How about the carts? Apparently there are two sizes. When did the larger design appear?
Anyone? Womble? You seem to be the authority here on the EVO :-)

P.S.: Thanks for the link. Very informative video! For some reason, i dont get the e-cigarette forum; i still get a redirect to the suspension message, so it took a bit of fiddling with GoogleCache.....
Direct Youtube link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPHQO4tcoH0

My Evo came yesterday even though it said i had to wait till the 26th and it came with a 4 hole atomozer but came with the small carts.

It really does the job.

Thanks also to Womblebat for the link for topping up the carts, Scott does some fantastic video's and has saved me so much time and effort, thanks Scott if you read this, with the wicked liquid i'm well sorted.

Postman just arrived with my Intellicig :-) Man, thats a cute little cig, when youre used to 901's!
I bought a trial kit (one battery, no charger) and a kit with two batteries, and apparently got a mixed bag of stuff.
I got one plain white battery with orange LED, and two striped batteries with blue LED.
Also, i got one two-hole atomizer and one 4-hole atomizer.
Can anyone clue me in to the difference (if any) between the batteries?

Hi clavit,

There hase been a design change on the batteries, the striped batteries (more cig like) seem to be the longer batteries (genie) and the plain ones are the mighty atom (smaller with web address printed on it) i will bet that the longer batts will end up plain with the web address on soon (i hate that) blue leds are just to avoid confusion in bars or any place smoking is not allowed, they are bringing all black evo's out shortly, hopefully in the next shipment

Thanks Womble.
My plain white battery is in fact a Genie, so i guess white with web-address is the new style.
The white battery and 4-hole atomizer came in the "try me"-kit. The 2-hole atomizer and striped batteries came in a standard kit, so i guess they are clearing old stock.
Both kits came with the new cartridges by the way :-)
