cart condoms ?  Cheesy
Good vid, but can't help thinking - sharp needle + nicotine liquid - er, think I'll pass.

Perhaps this highlights that there really must be something better than naff little
bits of polymer wool for retaining the liquid, maybe some built-in (washable) mechanism that
allows the cart to be just liquid filled without it just flowing away, can't be beyond technical possibilities?

LOL

well, at first, I didn't even use the syringe... tried to drip and wait till it absorbed then drip some more... that took forever...

Then tried to fill the cart 1/2 way with fluid and put in the wool...  then top off... Ended up spilling liquid everywhere.  Multiple times (I'm stubborn)

Finally unpackaged the syringe and I have never felt more like an addict at that very moment Cheesy

It does work.  I have yet to poke myself (knock on wood).  Its quick...  I dunno, I guess there is a reason they are sold on the puresmoker site - they do work the best.  Smiley

Rita
PS... Condoms were the first thing I thought of when I first got them and it just kinda stuck in my head...  LOL

like the other persons comment, i definitely would not be using sharp needles and nicotine............i can almost guarantee that i would stab myself with it. there would be that little devil on my shoulder just saying "go on scott, do it, do it".......i hate him Sad

He He...

My little devil wants to leave it in my purse or something so one of my co-workers can ask me about it LOL

Thanks for the comments on quality... am thinking about doing a video for Dustin's documentary and that will prolly be the camera I will use...

It really isn't as dangerous with the needle as I thought it would be... Of course, don't want to try that trick out after drinking or anything though lol

Am planning on doing it tomorrow if this stupid cold and fever goes away... I am so not getting dressed and putting on make-up and fixing my hair just for the video... However, if I do feel well enough to go to work and I get all dressed up anyhow, I will do it....

I already have my questions all picked out and I'm pretty much ready to roll except I look like I got run over by a mack truck (or would that be a lorry? he he)

Will get it done though - I just love deadlines and pressure!  You can ask my boss lol

I just picked up a couple of syringes at cvs(the local drugstore) for a total of 25 cents.  I spoke with the pharmicist and he had no problem selling them to me but I can't get over how cheap they were! Shocked  It does fill the cartridge better.

If you are worried about stabbing yourself, you can get Blunt drawing up needles. Possibly a safer option.

Same design as the sharps, but with a completely blunt end (only in 18g tho)

http://www.medisave.co.uk/terumo-blunt-drawing-up-needle-18g-38mm-100-p-99561.html

http://www.medirite.co.uk/acatalog/Drawing-up_Needles.html?gclid=CJiP0-me5poCFQOcFQodsErqAw

Seem to only be available in 100s tho!

These needles often come in printer cartridge refilling kits, there is def one in the value refil kit, maybe a cheaper way to get hold of one.

Even safer, this site has poly needles!

Enjoyed the video Rita. With regard to your recognition problem, your can buy little coloured stick on dots from an art shop. Decide what colour goes with what juice and problem solved. These will peel off again from plastic without too much trouble.

Guys please forgive me if I sound like an idiot but I only just discovered the whole e-cig thing today and just joined this site.

A guy at work showed me his e-cig and he was showing me how to refill, all he did was grabbed a small bottle containing the e-liquid, and dropped a few drops of the stuff in to the cartridge. Isn't that how its done? Or are you using a different type of e-liquid?

Thanks and nice vid.

Yes thats how its done for most of us, to top-up a cart. If you're putting fresh wadding in though, it needs soaking to the end; this is one method (its a bit fiddly for someone as impatient as me!). After that, you just add a few drops to top the cart off whenever it seems to get a little bit dry.

It's much easier than it looks in the video (especially with practice) and as I said there are a few ways to fill a fresh cart Smiley

Welcome to the forum Dead Cell, I hope you take the step to become a vaper Cheesy

The point in using the syringe is to get more liquid to the bottom of the cart. Normally, when dripping from the top, there are air bubbles that come from the bottom in most cases and using a syringe helps eliminate the vast majority of this ongoing problem users experience when the liquid is thick.

Welcome to the forum Dead Cell! Wink
Each person fills/tops up carts in many different ways. What I find that works best for me as I am always on the go. I can't carry a syringe in public where I live so I carry my tweezers & a 5ml eye dropper bottle of my fav juice. I pull off cart, put several drops in till it looks like it is about to over flow, take tweezers & pull up filler (as the att pushes it into cart) then push it very carefully down a little, put few more drops in again, pull cart filler flush with the cart add a few more drops if need & vape away for the next several hours. sounds like a lot 2 do but I can do this in about 30 seconds or less.  Grin

Not only does the syringe push the air out the top by filling from the bottom but since I've been using this method my I'm changing carts less often at work because they're holding more liquid.

Between the syringe and the straw, I've found I am getting much better cart performance than I was in the beginning. Thanks Rita

I settled to using the needle supplied with my jet ink refilling kit.  It's safer considering I'm doing it one handed due to recent surgery on mt left hand and wrist.  I also get excellent results pulling the wool out 1/4 inch and dipping it into a puddle of liquid and let it soak up the liquid.  I usually take the wool out and re-stuff  opposite end leaving 1/4 inch sticking out which clears the crustyness but again, I can't do that until I regain use of my other hand,  I't tough being a one handed vaporer.  I use a clothspin to hold my cart as I refill it and is my newest best friend.  I've actually thought about going back to cigs until my hand heals.

Oh gosh Larry, I hope you don't have to do that! It sounds as if you've adopted a method which although probably a bit frustrating, works well enough Wink

Thanks everyone!  I flooded my Titan atomizer so I'm alternating between my 901 and 801 right now.  The 801 is the easiest to manage at this point considering I'm left handed and am using my right hand for everything,  The simpleist things are the hardest it seems.

Oh and incidently, here in texas, you must have a syringe prescription in order to get a syringe.... gay......

Just to let you know for those states that have the regulation on syringe sales... Go to a Tractor Supply Store (or something similar in your home state) Which sells "Veterinary Supplies" They have syringes in various sizes, needles of different types, and they don't even blink about selling them to you since they are labeled "for veterinary use only". They are also fairly cheap ($7 for several packs of various sizes, and a coke)

I would say as long as you don't act like you are on something, they would sell them to you. I had 5 extra minutes before I picked my kids up from school, and was able to go grab some needles of various sizes. I will also tell you that syringes are a great way to accurately measure things (like DIY ejuice components) so I am going to keep several sizes with different graduations on hand.
