I read somewhere on here that the MG rating on the side of the bottle is per 1ml of fluid.
How many puffs/vapes are in one ml is my question here.

I'm trying to break down my actual intake of nicotine, and usage of product and hardware. I have so many bottles I can't really keep track of how much I use.

I realize that some e-cigs produce more vapor/use more fluid and all. Just trying to get a general idea.

Kinda hoping someone already has the info.

Looking for real life answers, not manufacturer hype. A bunch of my friends are getting real curious about e-smoking and asking a lot of questions I don't know the answer to. Now I'm wondering also.

Some stuff I do know:
15 inhalations equivalent to 1 real cigarette

DSE103 - Average 40-50 inhalations equivalent to 4-5 real cigarettes
DSE901   Average 80-120 inhalations equivalent to 8-12 real cigarettes
DSE801   Average 100-150 inhalations equivalent to 10-15 real cigarettes

HuhHuh?  inhalations in 1ml of fluid.

What I am trying to get is a real world figure for nicotine rating for one ecig or 15 puffs. Only way of doing that is coming up with how many inhalations in 1ml.

I found this website for nicotine ratings, as manufacturers are no longer allowed to advertise this.

The thing is though some analogues have more nic in them than others anyway!
I've just cut some 36g liquid I did
1ml of 36mg juice and made it up to 10mil with glyc and menthol mix I'm hopeless at maths so you work it out LOL not sure whether you devide that 10 mil by 9 or 10 which will give the answer of either 4mg nic or 3.06

Yeah my math skills kinda suck too.
This is what I have figured out on my own. Seems somewhat accurate.

This is what I came up with on a Super Mini. Not sure of the needle guage/drop size but that seems irrelevant.
Sorry if any of it confuses you.

83 drops in 1ml ....... I rounded out to 80 to estimate some real life loss of fluid. More or less depends on user.
3 drops = 18 inhalations   /3 =
1 drop = 6 inhalations
480 inhalations in 1 ml of fluid   /15 (puffs of ecig) =32 cigs
1ml = 32 real cigarettes     /24mg= .75mg nic per cig
30ml x 32 = 960 cigs - 48 packs 2.4 cartons

At 24mg I am consuming .75 mg of nicotine per e-cig slightly higher than a Winston Light. Yet most call 24mg High or better. This is where I'm getting stumped.

I smoked Winston Lights for the bulk of 20 years, they had a max nic yield of about .7 mg.
Towards the end I switched to Ultra Lights which had .5 mg of nic both going off the FTC method from the link.

I'm trying to get the numbers figured out to help me and others kick the nic habit.
Some friends are looking into starting e-smoking and I am trying to figure what would be the best dosage for them to start with.

Well what a lot of info that is!!! LOL way too much for my brain at this time of night.

If your looking to cut out nic altogether I would start off with either 11mg or 18mg it really depends on how strong the addiction to nic is that you have.
Everyone is different, You might think you have a strong addiction whereas your mate might say he's moderately addicted, yet you both might have smoked the same analogue at the same pace. If that makes any sense!

I don't think a direct comparison between tobacco and electronic cigs works in terms of nicotine. I'd be willing to bet that uptake of nicotine from vaping is much lower than it is from smoking.
Tobacco has been considerably tweaked to increase nicotine uptake, in particular, keeping the nicotine in a basic (alkaline) form. Most e-liquids, on the other hand, contain some acid (most often citric), which would tend to make the nicotine less easily absorbed. As far as I am aware, however, there haven't been any real studies of this, so its all guesstimates.

I smoked about a pack and a half a day of anal-logs(that's what they taste like now) Grin
Yeah I tried 11mg and 18mg.
At 11mg I chain vaped.
18mg was slightly better. I'll use 18 if just hanging on the computer with passthru.
24mg seems to be what is working for me.
With a couple of hits of 36mg to get me going in the morning. Anything more than that makes me feel loopy.

Just trying to work out the math is all, and get a better understanding of my addiction. I can figure how to dilute all the bottles I have no problem. I have my flavor choices figured out now.I am debating on getting Bickfords all natural flavors to use in the stepping down process. Seems better than Lorann as far as safe ingredients.

Thanks Crossbow that seems to help. I know the whole way the process tobacco and all does affect nicotine intake. Heard ammonia increases the addiction affect/uptake too. Think this is why they stopped the Cig manufactures from advertising nicotine ratings. It's all bullshit. To varied in processing and what there doing to them.

Glad I'm off them anal-logs.

Uncle Sam isn't gonna be, when he finds out I'm off the chain.$$$$$$

I started on 36, and found that fine, but now I'm using 24, and also finding that fine, yet 36 mixed with 1/3 glycerine, I found unsatisfying (and I looked like a smoke machine while I was vaping Tongue) so a lot of it is subjective, and seems to be related to taste (for me at least). Trial and error is probably as good a method as any, its just a case of finding something that keeps you off the analogues Smiley

What like is the 36mg?
I was using 24mg (virtualy constant vaping) had to stop because of headaches
The 18 & 11 mg I tend to vape constantly but no headache.
Does the 36mg satisfy the craving?
What I mean is.. well I never use to chane smoke but with e-cigs I chane vape
do you think with the 36mg I might be able to last say 45min between sesions?

I find its the act of vaping, more than the nic content, but bland liquid seems less satisfying. That said, I used to smoke 50ish small rollups a day, so the hand to mouth action is a deeply ingrained habit.

When I am using 36mg at work, it has the same effect as a cigarette, that is, I can tide myself over to my next vape break with only the usual cravings starting to appear after a couple of hours... so for me, the 36mg is like the real deal in terms of cutting away the nicotine cravings.

At home it's difficult to say because I can obviously pick up my e-cig whenever I want to Smiley

I think crossbow hit the nail on the head. Having a bit of an epiphany here. I tend to vape more probably because the Juice tastes good, doesn't make me cough or barf up a lung. On top of getting a little less nic. I've been doing better every day with the whole e-smoking deal. No anal-logs at all today. 36mg in the morn to get me going, and get my nic levels back up. 24mg the rest of the day at work. I'm at about 4 or 5 weeks now. For the last week I have only had 1 a day. Previous week 2 a day. 3 the week before that. Don't know why I'm still getting that urge. Think my brain still prefers smoking crap, weazin, and coughing. All this damn newfound oxygen going to my brain has me all messed up.  Huh

Looking back now I think I just need to be patient. My taste is starting to come back too. This mornings coffee never tasted so good.

I vaped tennessee cured from JC today at work which seemed to cut down my intake a bit. Don't really care for the taste of it. Didn't really notice it until now. Was debating on adding something to it to make it more vapeable, maybe I should just leave it the way it is.

Anyways good point crossbow

I like their Wild Cherry too, Peach is my favorite from them though.  Tenn Cured can be kinda harsh. It isn't bad if you mix it with some apple or peach. I made the mistake of not reading the description when I bought it. Don't really dig caramel. I'd trade with ya crossbow, but I think I would rather keep it to punish myself if I vape too much.

Didn't you know, us English love all things unique and/or smelly...

a good lump of ripe cheese for example...  http://www.teddingtoncheese.co.uk/acatalog/de339.htm

Some nice maggot-infested stilton... http://www.wedgeofstilton.com/History_of_Stilton_Cheese.htm

a good pair of knee high socks... http://www.revolveclothing.com/b/Search.jsp?search=socks and for extra fashion statement, with sandals http://www.kangfoo.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/03/sockssandals.jpg

Yes, unique we are... cheese n socks, no other nation does it like us lol

Oh yes, forgot to say, old socks smells like stinking bishop

Quote:
These are cheeses which are washed in a variety of liquids. They are generally full-flavoured with lively aromas. Stinking Bishop is no exception and uses perry as its wash. It has a sticky yellow-orange rind and smells of old socks. The paste is soft and creamy, the flavour is delicious and, although full and distinctive, it is not quite as pungent as the odour may imply! At
