Its all down to the cleaning imo. I've still got one of my original atties and it vapes better than when it was new. I also bought TW multipack of Titan atties and all work perfectly. I know there are loads of posts about cleaning them, but believe me, even if you think an atty is DOA, blow like a madman through it to get rid of as much juice as possible, drop it in some Pepsi - Don't use Red Bull Cola though - look on the ingredient list, make sure the cola you are using contains phosphoric acid. Leave the atty in the cola for 2 hours (or longer), make sure cola runs through the atty by spooning some cola through it, then drop it into a pan of boiling water for 60 seconds. Take it out of the boiling water with a spoon, put it into a tea towel, give it a few shakes, I cover the atty with the tea towel to protect my mouth from the heat and blow through the excess water. Once the atty is cool enough, blow through it again like a madman. Then use a hairdryer for two or three mins.
Drip a couple of drops directly into the atty, and treat it as if it was brand new. It'll take a couple of days to get to full vape, also flavours will be weak for the first two to three days.
The ONLY atty I have ever thrown away was one of my originals and in retrospect I think I could have got it working again!
I now never ever direct drip, I always just top off carts, whenever I go for a vape (1 cigarette equivalent ciggie break at work) I just put one or two drops onto my cart (so it pools on top) then pop it onto the atty and vape. I think direct dripping could possibly leave your atty too dry, this could kill it. Also an atty that is soaked will also vape poorly, its a fine line and I just find that topping off leads to less atty problems.
Oh well, hope this helps
