How long does an atomizer usually last, before needing to be replaced?

No cigs, no e-cigs, no nicotine.

Hi Commacabra, welcome to TW forum. Atomisers can vary quite considerably in their operational lifespan. If you look after it by cleaning and draining it regular it will keep going for two to three months approx. Some only last about a month and then there's the "blessed" ones which go for six months plus! You can find information on cleaning and maintenance on this forum. Hope this helps mate.  Grin

This is a bit "how long is a piece of string"?   They can last only a couple of weeks, or months.  TW give a warranty on them but it's quite a short one!  I'd advise having a few and rotating them.

2nd drained over night.

3 months old now and vaping as well as my titan.

only drained it a few times, It must be blessed.

Ive had no trouble with the TW 801 or 901 multi pack attys. I think they are great value and good quality and last as long as any other single atty Ive bought Grin

Its all down to the cleaning imo.  I've still got one of my original atties and it vapes better than when it was new.  I also bought TW multipack of Titan atties and all work perfectly.  I know there are loads of posts about cleaning them, but believe me, even if you think an atty is DOA, blow like a madman through it to get rid of as much juice as possible, drop it in some Pepsi - Don't use Red Bull Cola though - look on the ingredient list, make sure the cola you are using contains phosphoric acid.  Leave the atty in the cola for 2 hours (or longer), make sure cola runs through the atty by spooning some cola through it, then drop it into a pan of boiling water for 60 seconds.  Take it out of the boiling water with a spoon, put it into a tea towel, give it a few shakes, I cover the atty with the tea towel to protect my mouth from the heat and blow through the excess water.  Once the atty is cool enough, blow through it again like a madman.  Then use a hairdryer for two or three mins.

Drip a couple of drops directly into the atty, and treat it as if it was brand new.  It'll take a couple of days to get to full vape, also flavours will be weak for the first two to three days.

The ONLY atty I have ever thrown away was one of my originals and in retrospect I think I could have got it working again!

I now never ever direct drip, I always just top off carts, whenever I go for a vape (1 cigarette equivalent ciggie break at work) I just put one or two drops onto my cart (so it pools on top) then pop it onto the atty and vape.  I think direct dripping could possibly leave your atty too dry, this could kill it.  Also an atty that is soaked will also vape poorly, its a fine line and I just find that topping off leads to less atty problems.

Oh well, hope this helps Smiley

I find that, rather  than "dying" my attys tend to reduce in performance to a point where I notice...  At that point I change them.

My atomizers (that initially worked) lasts about 2 weeks on average. Unfortunately a little less that half of the attys from multi packs have not worked at all. Of the 3 guaranteed attys I've had, One lasted about 3 weeks but never fully worked (weak vapor and hit), one never worked which TW replaced, and the one replacement worked great for two weeks. From my last multi pack, 2 were ok, 1 worked for a couple of weak puffs and quit, and 2 never worked.  And after almost 5 months of vaping I still smoke analogs.  Cry
